Food

Food

Eating, cooking, and stocking a kitchen in Singapore.

Singapore is one of the best places in the world to eat, and one of the most interesting places to cook. Hawker food sets a high bar for everything else, wet markets sit next to supermarkets, and a well-stocked pantry looks completely different here than it would in London or Sydney. This is where I write about groceries worth knowing, restaurants worth visiting, kitchen kit that earns its place in an HDB kitchen, and how to plan meals around a week that’s already too busy.

Everything here is Singapore-based and practical. I’m not writing about food in the abstract — I’m writing about what I actually cook, eat, and buy, in a city where the options are genuinely excellent and the constraints are genuinely real.
